IMAGES OF THE DAY BY SCOTT & LINDA TERRILL: AUGUST 16, 2015 HALF MOON BAY

Please enjoy these seabird images by popular leaders, Scott & Linda Terrill from Shearwater Journeys'
Over 1200 ELEGANT TERNS lined the jetties!
We see all three species of cormorants right in the harbor.
DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS, above.
Offshore, we encountered a massive herd of CALIFORNIA SEA LIONS chasing MACKEREL.
Hundreds of PINK-FOOTED SHEARWATERS, above, were gorging opportunistically on the catch.
Nature's own chumming machine, the California Sea Lion herd, cranked out some fish for the BLACK-FOOTED ALBATROSS, above.
Four STELLER'S SEA LIONS were lazing on this buoy.
STREAMING SOOTY SHEARWATERS and a halibut fishing vessel built in 1908.
Jennifer & Jay celebrate her birthday on Shearwater Journeys' pelagic trip.
She made her first trip with us 30 years ago!

Hope to see you out there!
